Our Sustainability Story
Lake Connor Park’s Forest Stewardship Program represents our commitment to sustainable land stewardship. Since 2018, we’ve proactively identified and treated hazard trees, protecting both our members and our precious forest ecosystem.
Our Western Hemlocks, Western Redcedars, and Douglas-firs are carefully monitored for disease and structural integrity. Working with professional arborists, we identify trees affected by root rot diseases like Annosus and Armillaria, assess their risk potential, and treat them before they become safety hazards.
This proactive approach means our members can enjoy the natural beauty of the park with confidence, knowing that we’re actively protecting both people and property while ensuring the long-term vitality of our forest for generations to come.
