Our comprehensive forest thinning plan involves removing approximately 400 trees per year over a 16-year period to improve forest health and reduce hazard risk.

Phase 1 begins September 2025.

This proactive approach will create a more resilient forest while maintaining the natural beauty that makes Lake Connor Park special.

Junior Stewards Program

Our Junior Stewards program engages the next generation of forest caretakers! With 30+ kids enrolled, young members complete 5 challenges to earn passport stamps and learn about forest ecology.
